Dr. Nathalie Boulanger, Director of Professional Services at the Ungava Tulattavik Health Center, was interviewed this morning at 7:30 a.m. on the Québec matin (Quebec Morning) program on LCN to talk about the unusual heat wave that is currently hitting Ungava Bay.
Dr. Boulanger discussed the impacts of this extreme heat on users and employees of Tulattavik, as well as the means put in place to help the population better cope with it.

A resident of Nunavik for several years, Dr. Boulanger also shared her personal life experience in the Far North by explaining how this exceptional warmth is perceived within Inuit communities.
Temperatures are well above the seasonal averages for Northern Quebec, which raises concerns for both the population and the health network's staff.
