These new spaces will improve the quality and accessibility of services for young people and their families.
A new building has just been constructed in the community of Kangirsuk. This project, carried out by the Landholding of Kangirsuk, marks an important milestone for community services of the Ungava Tulattavik Health Center. These new spaces will improve the quality and accessibility of services for young people and their families.
Progressively, this summer, all services will be grouped under one roof, making it possible to meet the different needs of customers in an even more diversified and complementary way. In addition, exchanges between community team workers and collaboration with local organizations will be encouraged.
The new community-based building will house various locally operating entities, Nunavimmi Ilagiit Papautauvinga, Saquijuq as well as the community services of the UTHC, including social services teams, home support workers and those of the TASIURTIGIIT program.
Led by Sarah Airo, Vice-Chair of the UTHC Board of Directors and representative of the Kangirsuk Landholding Corporation, this project is the result of extensive local consultations.
A Plus for the Community!
