A safe, welcoming living environment that is entirely adapted to the needs of our patients and users.

Tulattavik warmly thanks camper Jessie Grey and Jennifer Ney Anye, Cabin Crew Leader, for their thoughtful welcome during the Camp Massawippi tour offered to our Executive Director Larry Watt on July 1, 2026. This huddle allowed to discover the exceptional living environment offered by the camp and to exchange with several Nunavimmiut who are taking full enjoyment of their summer stay. The many smiles, conversations and friendly atmosphere showed the importance of this precious collaboration, which has allowed Tulattavik patients and users to experience an enriching vacation in a safe, adapted and caring environment for more than 20 years now.
When Holidays Rhyme With Happiness at Camp Massawippi
For many patients, users and residents of Isurrivik, vacations at Camp Massawippi are much more than just a summer stay. They represent an eagerly awaited event, a tradition that returns year after year and is synonymous with joy, encounters, discoveries and precious moments of relaxation.
As soon as spring arrives, enthusiasm is felt. Many are already talking about their upcoming departure, recounting their memories of previous summers and counting the weeks until they return to this place that they consider almost a second home. For some, these holidays have been part of their lives for several years and remain among the most anticipated moments of the year.

Thank you to the Assistant Director of Camp Massawippi, Mrs. Lisa Crutcher, for her warm welcoming. Pictured (left to right) are Larry Watt, Executive Director of the Ungava Tulattavik Health Center and Jessie Grey, summer camp participant.
Located in Ayer's Cliff, in the Eastern Townships, Camp Massawippi has been welcoming people living with physical disability since 1951. Nestled on a beautiful 19-acre lot on the shores of Lake Massawippi, the camp offers a serene and fully adapted environment. People who stay there can therefore fully enjoy their summer vacation in a safe, welcoming setting. A place conducive to well-being.
Participants discover a host of activities adapted to their abilities and interests. Swimming, water skiing, pontoon rides, music, visual arts and many other recreational activities allow everyone to live enriching experiences, develop their autonomy and create unforgettable memories.
What makes the experience even more special is the attention paid to each camper. With an excellent accompaniment ratio, staff members offer personalized support in daily living activities while allowing everyone to fully participate in camp activities. Their warm welcome, kindness and dedication help to create an atmosphere where you really feel like you're on holiday.
The Ungava Tulattavik Health Centre is proud to collaborate with Camp Massawippi to offer our patients, users and residents this exceptional experience. This valuable collaboration not only promotes the well-being, autonomy and social inclusion of the participants, but also offers a moment of respite for families and loved ones.
Over the years, this initiative has become a true summer tradition. The smiles, laughter, new friendships and memories that come with the campers' return are a testament to the richness of this experience.
We wish all participants a wonderful stay filled with fun, discoveries and magical moments.
