New Service for Nunavimmiuts With Intellectual Disabilities or Autism

A new living environment located in Pointe-Claire welcomes Nunavik residents living with an intellectual disability (ID) or an autism spectrum disorder (ASD). This resource allows users to obtain several services that ensure a better future while preparing them for an active life when they return to their communities.

This living environment offers specialized and intensive interventions to users. It highlights family relationships, cultural heritage, language, and traditional knowledge.

The first user was welcomed on March 11th, and since then 7 users have integrated this resource.
