Tulattavik Community Services recently organized two wonderful fishing outings for a group of elders.
On August 24 and September 7, Marie-Eve Lacroix, recreation therapist, and Sheila Narrainen, educator, organized two wonderful fishing outings for a group of elders.
These events gave the elders the opportunity to get together, share experiences, maintain connections, and participate in activities that reflect their traditions and culture.
A big thank you to Marie-Eve and Sheila for their commitment to providing elders with opportunities to come together and actively participate in community life, as well as to organizations Saqijuq and Nunami for their invaluable support. Thanks to their generosity, our elders were able to reconnect with their traditions, socialize, enjoy the great outdoors, and engage in an activity they cherish, all while fishing for one of their favorite traditional foods. These outdoor activities brought them great joy and helped create cherished memories.
